Dubai Municipality: Universal Design Week

Our approach was to create pop-up scenarios that combined 3D objects with flat graphics to create a space that brings to life simplified blueprints visiting designers and architects would be able to relate to.

These installations acted as a reminder of the new rules surrounding areas with People of Determination in mind.

Each installation was made up of two main sections: The object itself and its measurements. Each item was built to size in 3D form and sat in front of a blueprint backdrop, which supported the object in front of it with true measurements - per the guidebook. Details such as 3D measurements (shown above right) helped tie the object to its backdrop, completing the scenario.
